Before sharing images online, artists can freely use the program Glaze to apply ‘style cloaks’ that ‘glazes’ images to making their art unreadable for AI/ML technologies. Glaze (https://glaze.cs.uchicago.edu/) is currently free to download for artists after creating an account that verifies the user is an artist, excluding generative-AI artists. After being processed through Glaze, an image:

“appears unchanged to human eyes, but appears to AI models like a dramatically different art style. For example, human eyes might find a glazed charcoal portrait with a realism style to be unchanged, but an AI model might see the glazed version as a modern abstract style, a la Jackson Pollock”
